I liked learning more about the environment and getting to share my knowledge with kids.

I wish I could of gotten to do more experimentation with the resources I had.

This is definitely a job where you have to like working with children. If you don't have patience, this isn't the job for you.

I got to spend time at the beach and learn what is like to work at a nonprofit environmental organization.

Sometimes I had to drive during rush hour, which turned a 30 min ride into a 2-hour ride.

Take advantage of as many opportunities as possible and don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone.

I liked working together with the community to do something good for the environment on a local scale.

I wish we had a larger area of beach to cover. The small area did not cover very much compared to the amount of volunteers we had.

My advice is to volunteer often for these big organized events. They are fun, quick, and easy. Everything is supplied and explained thoroughly.
