What I liked

It was a medium-size mutual fund company. Everyone was very friendly and wanted to get to know me. I was immediately given projects and tasks to complete. I quickly got to know the entire finance department, through volunteering, business projects, and events hosted outside of the office.

What I wish was different

I might have wished they had a stronger intern program- I knew the other interns, but very briefly and I feel it might have been beneficial for me to build closer relationships with the other people in my position.

Advice

Don't take anything for granted during your time with an internship! Try to absorb as much as you can, and don't hesitate to ask questions- this is an internship, where you are learning and it is okay to make mistakes!
