Hankook Tire & Technology is the 7th largest & one of the fastest growing tire manufacturers in the world. We develop and produce tires for passenger cars, 4x4, SUVs, light trucks, campers, trucks, buses and automobile motorsport. We sell products in over 160 countries employing 20,000 people to support our customers. To meet regional market needs we have 5 regional headquarters, 5 technical centers, 8 production and manufacturing facilities, and multiple logistics and customer support centers. In 2021 our sales revenue was $6.2 B US. We invest approximately 5% of revenue in research and development (R&D) for product and technology advancement and innovation.

In America we partner with and supply tires to original equipment (OE) passenger vehicle companies including Ford, GM, Chrysler, VW, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, and Tesla; and similar develop and supply tires for the replacement market. To better support technology for our America customers, our strategically located organization includes:

• America Technical Center (ATC): located in Green, OH near Akron; provides engineering for tire design & development, material & rubber compound development, material & tire testing, vehicle testing and motorsports support, technology & performance prediction simulation development, & technical computer programming & support.

• Tennessee Plant: located in Clarksville, TN; a state of the art facility, completed in 2017, provides engineering for production, quality, raw materials purchasing & processing, product industrialization & testing.

• North America Headquarters: located in downtown Nashville, TN; marketing and sales, and customer support.

• North America OE Team Office: located in Livonia, MI near Detroit; OE vehicle business and technical support; automotive engineering project management and coordination.

In addition to over 1000 full-time members at the above 4 locations, ATC leads an intern and university STEM co op program of 1 to 4 students each semester.
