What I liked
I love being able to explore sculpting in food and getting to know an organization who is doing proactive work to assist the food crisis.
What I wish was different
So far there has been a lack of consistency as far as scheduling goes, so I'm not working as much as we had originally agreed. After speaking to them on this issue, we are in the process of creating a more set schedule.
Advice
For the most part, you don't have to be a master at a technique to work in the field. Internships are an opportunity to learn those skills. Take full advantage of everything that they offer you! Deep involvement will likely lead to more connections in the future.
