What I liked
Getting to spend time with residents and be there for families during hard times with their family members. It was also nice to become closer to coworkers and create a more comfortable work environment.
What I wish was different
It is hard to see residents and their families going through hard times and losses.
Advice
Families appreciate anything you do for them during loss. It’s important to just be there for them and listen to them. Let them cry if they need to and comfort them if necessary.

If you don't truly love working with people and you don't think healthcare is the spot for you don't work as a CNA. IF you're questioning your desire to be in healthcare work as a CNA because it really determines if you have a passion for it.

I would say that if a resident is upset and say something rude, don't get upset with them and don't take what they say to heart.
