I loved having the ability to spend my entire summer outside immersed in nature while working with my best friends and leading groups of children in building their faith and connection to nature.
What I wish was different
I wish we would have had a larger staff--it would have made some of the issues that occurred less likely to occur! Other than that, this summer was fantastic.
Advice
Be ready for the unexpected to happen. Not every day, hour, or minute runs smoothly--and that's okay! It's great training for life and working in the "real world". Flexibility might not be innate, but it can be learned.
