Amazing people to work with. A supportive environment with opportunities to meet other employees. You really get out what you put into this experience. My project was very open-ended but I have the freedom to try out new ideas and present to the heads of my team.
What I wish was different
Since it is a smaller firm, there is no formal training program for new interns. I wish I had a little bit of background preparation before jumping into my role.
Advice
Take initiatives and frequently check in with your supervisor. You will be rewarded for creativity and don't be afraid to bounce your ideas off of other people on your team - they tend to be very encouraging and often become informal mentors.

Always be upfront if you don't understand something. Better you tell your boss you don't know something than have them assume you do know it and find out otherwise later.
