I really like how flexible Gist was with me. I was paid on the amount of people I recruited, and they were always letting me know ways to get more experience.
What I wish was different
I would have really wished it was more structured and gave tips on how to reach people
Advice
I suggest everyone to download Handshake because there are a lot of opportunities on there. And I have learned a lot about consumers and what they look for in an app

Campus Ambassador
September 2020 - January 2021 • San Francisco, CA
What I liked
Flexible work schedule and love the GIST community. Small startup but really cares about every employee even if their roles aren't large. They hosted many events for ambassadors so we could all socialize amidst the pandemic. Coaches were very helpful and give you all the resources to become successful.
What I wish was different
Nothing really. It is hard to connect with people when everything is remote, but GIST did a really great job to the best of their ability to connect everyone together!
Advice
Go for it! Anyone can do this, and there is so much room for growth opportunities!

What I liked
The staff is very communicative and friendly.
What I wish was different
No cons really. It’s just that this type of job, it may be hard to recruit people.
Advice
Find a group of friends that you know will help you test the app. Additionally, go to forums that center around beta testing apps and try not to make your posts/messages sound like a multi level marketing post.
