This was an incredibly eye-opening experience. I got to work with members of local non-profits, law enforcement, and city government, which exposed me to new perspectives and approaches to complex problems. The work environment at Giffords is very supportive and they really care about their work.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been a full-time employee, but their staffing needs were not compatible with that desire.
Advice
It's very important to produce the highest quality work possible when in a high-performing work environment. It's not like school where you can get extensions and have someone holding your hand through the work process. You have to enter the experience ready to motivate yourself.
