I loved how involved I was. I sat in on meetings, went out in the field, and even got the chance to do some research and present it at the county fair.
What I wish was different
Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I only wish that the office I worked in had more windows!
Advice
I would recommend that you take every day for what it is. Some days I was at the desk all day doing tasks that were small but were crucial for the operation of the health department. The best thing you can do is act as a sponge and take it all in.
