“I liked that I was able to observe and shadow many different medical departments, such as Neurology, Emergency, General Surgery, ENT and Transfusion. It was really interesting and unique to experience medicine in a clinical setting in a culture that is different from the United States. I have been able to use what I learned in Croatia in my classes in school. I also liked that it made it possible for me to gain work experience while studying abroad and it would still allow me to graduate on time. This experience allowed me to work on not only my medical knowledge, but on my independence, responsibility and general life skills.”
