I loved working with the Moms! I also got the opportunity to work in the office under the Case Manager and see how the realm of Social Work case management works. I loved getting to see what was behind the serbs as well as participate in the frontlines of this organization.
What I wish was different
I wish I had gotten to spend more time in the Office working under the Case Manager. I learned so much from her and I wanted to keep learning more!
Advice
Put yourself out there!! I think that putting myself out there got me this position. I piloted an internship because I knew what I wanted and I asked for it. I wanted to create relationships with the women beyond what a normal intern could do, and I pursued that.
