Advice

Fisher Investments has been ranked as one of the Top Best Places to Work. My advice is to take advantage of the Junior Associate program to learn about the company internally while going through school. This has allowed me to learn about the firm's culture and give me an advantage for seeking a full-time position.

Talent Acquisition and Client Programs Intern

June - August 2017 • Camas, WA

What I liked

I LOVED my summer at Fisher investments because they truly emphasize transparency. From the cubicle-less work area to the glass walls in all team rooms, FI ensured everyone is on the same playing field regardless of position! Team leaders sit in the same space as all the associates, interns, etc. They also encouraged teamwork and believed everyone can truly work and learn from one another, so we had social outings, daily team meetings, group projects, etc. They also believe in building life-long careers so they emphasize internal and horizontal movement within the firm.

Advice

A piece of advice to any future interns is to push yourself to meet as many people as you can in the firm. Everyone is there to help you grow, if you take full advatage.

Intern

June - August 2017 • San Mateo, CA

What I liked

I worked for 4 weeks within one department before rotating to another department for the remaining 4 weeks, which allowed me to gain a broad exposure to the firm's operations. I also had the opportunity to shadow every department within the firm and interview senior managers. All of the interns were trained in areas like capital markets while competing in a number of competitions. I went into the internship knowing very little about the wealth management industry, and came out with a tremendous amount of knowledge because of the various opportunities that I was given.
