The individuals in which I worked with and my bosses. Amazing community. I also liked being able to explore the lake and go on adventures, while also learning how to work with others.
What I wish was different
I enjoyed it all, so I wish for nothing to be different.

What I liked
I loved the support and care that the staff show to the missionaries. The kids are fabulous and the parents so gracious. We have a lot of freedom and free time with what we do as well.
What I wish was different
I came during the pandemic so a lot of things were different than normal but I had a great time.
Advice
Have a solid foundation in your faith that can be worked on because working with kids is usually going to take its toll. It is very rewarding but there are some days that feel so long.

What I liked
Time spent with the kids, the staff, and the community was unlike any I've experienced before. They are so welcoming, and the work was exactly what I love to do!
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time there! Fall or Spring internships there seem like the best.
Advice
If you love the Lord, kids, and the outdoors, this is the place for you!

What I liked
I loved working with the children. The environment of Lake Tahoe is absolutely beautiful, and the hiking was so relaxing. As well working with people of all different backgrounds in a new community.
What I wish was different
That more students would have come to the camp. Also, that I could have had more time working with the families of this area.
Advice
Expect the unexpected. Never assume people are who you think they are, allow them to show you who they are before you assume.
