What I liked

Fenway Group offers students real world industry experience while they are still in school due to their convenient location on Tech's campus. Not only is this an excellent way to apply what you are learning in your classes at Tech, but it is a great way to get exposed to what it is like to work on industry projects. The mentorship program at Fenway will help you to identify your strengths and build the skills you need to be successful.

What I wish was different

I wish that my advisor would have prepared me for having to cut back on class hours. It is not required to do so, but it was not practical for me to take 12 hours of courses and work twenty hours a week. That threw off my graduation plan by a couple of quarters, but I would like for my advisor to have said something. There are a considerable amount of students in the Computer Science and Cyber Engineering Programs that work at Fenway to where the advisors should have picked up a pattern and be able to advise these students differently to ensure they are not overloaded.

Advice

Go in with an open mind and be willing to learn. Fenway is looking for students that posses aptitude, attitude, and passion for technology. If you possess these qualities and possess good work ethic and have a willingness to learn and grow, you will fit right into the family.
