Claims Adjuster

May - August 2019 • Caledonia, MI

What I liked

I really enjoyed the environment, which was centered around communication. It allowed me to make a lot of connections with people I would not have otherwise met outside of this internship.

What I wish was different

For this particular experience, I wish I would have been able to venture out of my particular office a little bit more and meet people in other departments within the company.

Advice

I would suggest to anyone who finds themselves in a new position to ask as many questions as they can. People's job performances are too often hindered by their fear to ask questions about things they do not understand.

Insurance Producer

June 2019 • Woodstock, GA

What I liked

I really like the culture. I like the culture, because everybody cares about everybody. We sell insurance very uniquely. We care and love for the person before we ever sell insurance. With that being said, we figure out the best options for them, and how can we best serve them?

What I wish was different

One thing that I wish was different was that it was really hard watching the agency owner have to take on so many costs so quickly. I wanted to help so much, and I wish that I on my end saved a little money for insurance to get started

Advice

One piece of advice when working in a sales role is find the best way to serve them. Don't worry about the product first. Get to know your people. Get to know how you can best serve their needs, and if the product you are selling best suits them. Also, BE TRANSPARENT AND HONEST ABOUT EVERYTHING!
