Everyone was a professor and they constantly referenced what would be taught in course vs what it was like in the real world. How there are concepts we learned about in course that was seen by a big 4 accountant for 15 years + CPA for 30+, how it was seen maybe 4 times in those years. They were supportive of school schedules and granted me the ability to go and come at me leisure.
What I wish was different
I had taken an audit course before the internship.
Advice
If you never took a tax course before your first, make sure you know why the program is giving you the outcome, ask questions, lots and lots. Never feel like you are annoying them, they are there to help.
