I liked being able to help plan and help with events like the Town Hall and Groundbreaking. I also enjoyed designing flyers and programs for these events too. Also, learning and being a part of meetings about road projects, taxes, etc and how they come to be in the county was very interesting as well.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had did a bit more research about the position so I could have been a little more prepared.
Advice
If you want to go into any field of politics or government this is a great internship to see how everything functions behind the scenes. Also, it is very important to make the most out of the opportunity to make connections and try and incorporate your interests in the internship.
