Delivery

November 2017 • Cedar City, UT

What I liked

I get a lot of tips. Which is what I live on, 7.25/hour is not a livable wage. Most of my job is being in mu car and listening to music and podcasts, so its a chill job

What I wish was different

I wish people were better tippers in this town. Or at least that I actually got paid more

Advice

I can't imagine not spending summer working and saving up. Money is such a stressful thing. Working a lot over summer lets you work less during the school year, which is nice for homework

Pizza Delivery Driver

June 2019 • Schenectady, NY

What I liked

It was relatively busy, simple, and the tips were very good. In addition to this, it was very friendly to the disabled community, as a deaf person was hired to be one of the pizza makers. The employees learned basic sign language that had to do with the job in order to communicate with him.

What I wish was different

I wish the location had been different. This particular Domino’s was in a dangerous part of Domino’s. I learned this the hard way and actually got mugged while on the job and my iPhone was stolen. I was given a replacement track phone from Walmart to keep working but I ended up having to buy a new phone myself.

Advice

If you are a delivery driver, make sure you keep a small amount of money in your pocket and leave your wallet in the car, just in case. In addition, try to keep your phone in your back pocket.
