I love the residents and the ability to help them as they navigate the changes that come with growing older
What I wish was different
So far, I really enjoy my experience all around. It sometimes gets a little gross because you're dealing with bathroom/wound cares.
Advice
RESPECT THE RESIDENTS! They have lived a long life and know more than you many times. Don't act like they know nothing.

What I liked
I really liked gaining experience in the medical field. I enjoyed working with residents and being able to make them smile.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have been able start a job like this sooner so I could have more experience. In the future I would love to work as a CNA in a hospital setting because I feel that is more applicable for my area of study.
Advice
Making sure residents are comfortable and cared for is more important than getting the work done quickly. So, don't let senior coworkers push you into doing something off the book if you don't feel like you are getting the task done to completion.
