I enjoyed the hands on experience and direct responsibilities given to me. They explained their expectations and when I fulfilled them, they were willing to go above those expectations and trust me with larger projects. I enjoyed my fellow employees company as well.
What I wish was different
The time schedules were pretty rigorous, I would have appreciated a more flexible schedule, especially for a summer job.
Advice
Ask questions! The processes they use in the R&D lab are complex and radically new, so if you’re out of your depth, that’s normal and expected! These people are always willing to answer questions and explain processes.
