I connected with some amazing people. who were honest and encouraging about the advertising industry. I also liked that I got to use social listening programs and databases that only a large companies like Deutsch would have access to. The office was equipped with so many things to make it more comfortable for employees in an environment that can be very stressful at times.

Account Management Intern
June - August 2019 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I liked that I got a lot of hands-on experience in advertising and was trusted to do actual client work, which is something that is nearly impossible to obtain in a classroom setting.
What I wish was different
I wish I had the opportunity to learn more about the different departments prior to applying to my role. There was a lot of work in other departments that interested me, but I could only work in Account Management for the most part.
Advice
Don’t be afraid to ask for more work! You never know what opportunities may arise just by asking to see what’s out there and what you can get your hands on.

Media Planning intern
June - August 2018 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I loved getting to see the inside of an advertising agency and interacting with people on different teams, such as the creatives or the media buying team. I also loved getting to do an intern project with some of my fellow interns, which we ended up presenting in front of the CEO of the NY firm at the end of our time spent at the agency. It was overall a great learning experience.
