What I liked
I enjoyed learning about how the hospital functions behind the scenes and learning what it takes for a hospital to run properly.
What I wish was different
There is not much I would change. I feel that the program is amazing in every aspect. I encourage anyone going into the field of Biomedical Engineering to look into the opportunities given by the VA. I would have liked to take on more projects during my time here at the VA, but that just would have been a bonus.
Advice
I would like to share that while you are in school, DEFINITELY GET AN INTERNSHIP wherever you can. Experience is key in finding a decent job that you enjoy after college. Also the experience will look GREAT on resumes.

Lots of promotion potential. Was clerk in June and got this promotion about 4.5 months in. Opens door for other federal jobs
What I wish was different
The location. Didn’t think would be hard leaving Colorado since none of my family is there anyway but it was hard going from place where I had network established to place I knew nobody
Advice
Although moving was harder, getting foot in door of my chosen field has been greatly beneficial and will allow me to more easily find job back home since have the relevant experience now
