Barback/Server

May - August 2019 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

The people I worked with with all very patient and helpful and helped me gain a deeper understanding on performing the various duties of my positions.

What I wish was different

I wish the management was better with career advancement. The whole time I was there I told them I wanted to become a bartender, but I wasn’t placed in a position that would provide me training for it until my last couple of weeks there.

Advice

A little bit of effort goes a long way. Preparing well before the interview, putting in the extra mile with an assigned task, or just having a good attitude goes a long way with your coworkers and your boss.

It is a very good job for college students there is a flexible schedule and it’s a job you may grow to love.

Prep Cook

October 2018 • Panama City Beach, FL

What I liked

Working for Dave and Buster's has been such an exciting experience. No one day is exactly like the other, and with such a fun environment there is always something exciting happening.

What I wish was different

I only wish I had joined the Dave and Buster's team under better circumstances. The hurricane displaced many people from their previous jobs, and I was one of them.

Advice

Something I would like to share regarding this experience is to take an opportunity that is lying in front of you. While it may be intimidating to move from a place where you are comfortable, you will never know what new experiences are waiting for you unless you go for it!
