Working with a team to test projects and find bugs in software.

I wish I had been able to work more with the other interns in other departments.

Do not feel afraid to ask coworkers or your boss questions. If you are having a problem or have encountered a roadblock that is holding you up, get a second opinion.

What I liked

Dassault really cares about their interns. Interns do real work on real projects that matter. You also get the opportunity to attend many events including meeting the SOLIDWORKS CEO. They also have a lot of events like a cornhole tournament, catapult contest, and career advancement trainings.

What I wish was different

There are times where you don't have work to do and it gets boring.

Advice

Attend all of the events that you can. Make friends with your fellow interns.

The emphasis on design within the company, assistance with relocation costs.

Know the software well, especially with something as specialized as Solidworks being the flagship product.

Go out of your way to make connections in whichever company that you work for. You never know what opportunities may be out there or which employee may provide the next stepping stone for your future. Most people want to help and many enjoy taking someone under their wing, you just have to take the initiative to start the conversation.
