What I liked

I liked that i was promoted fairly quickly. It’s a pretty laid back environment and fairly easy.

What I wish was different

I wish more competent employees were hired. Most employees were teenagers at their first job.

Advice

Do your job well and you’ll be fine in any industry. Take time to ask questions and learn how to do things correctly. Learn from your mistakes and don’t take constructive criticism personally.

Don’t apply unless you know you can handle a fast paced, customer centered environment. Do your best to stay on top of your work but also be efficient. And most of all, it’s a terrible time if you aren’t friends with your coworkers so make it enjoyable and make friends!

What I liked

I had been with Dairy Queen so long that I could essentially do whatever I wanted. It was a pretty lax job to have.

What I wish was different

When it got busy, it was BUSY. I wish I had more help at times.

Advice

This is definitely not a job for everyone. I really learned why some people refuse to work in food from my time here.

What I liked

I liked the fast-paced environment that I was already comfortable with, and the variety of jobs available for me to complete during my shift.

What I wish was different

I wish that the leadership had been stronger and more active during working hours. By leadership being more active and staying on workers constructively it would push employees to do their job to the best of their ability.
