What I liked
The freedom and responsibility I had to write and report. The top-notch staff who were extremely kind and supportive to me throughout the summer.
What I wish was different
Circumstances that were outside of the Gazette's control, ie COVID-19. Things were extremely hard for all of us this summer, but we made do.
Advice
Get into the daily grind of writing/reporting. Set aside pure work time where you're either writing, researching, or interviewing. That's the only way you can keep up with content on a daily basis.
