The owner of the company is friendly, honest, and fair. He does try to help you out as the worker. For example, if you live far away from the job site he pays you for the time it takes you to get to the job site in the morning. Coworkers are nice about picking you up if you don't have a car.
What I wish was different
The supervisor, managers, workers with more seniority, and coworkers can make the job very unenjoyable. There's a lot of talking behind other's backs and your effort isn't very appreciated or recognized. If you are the type of person that gives your all and picks up other people's slack you will just get more work thrown at you. You might get a comment every so often but the managers will just push you more and if you give less than your 100% one time they will say you became lazy. While people who give their 50% all the time do less and get criticized less.
Advice
You need to get your own work boots (aren't strictly necessary but recommended), work clothes, work gloves, knee pads, etc. Don't depend on anyone for water, food, gas, etc.
