For over 50 years, the Clinton River Watershed Council (CRWC) has provided opportunities for citizens, schools, governments, businesses, and other community groups to get involved and active in ensuring a healthy Clinton River for us all through education, stewardship, and watershed management—to make a difference in your community…today and for future generations.
The Clinton River watershed covers approximately 760 square miles in 4 Southeast Michigan counties – about 40% of eastern Oakland County, about 75% of Macomb County, and small portions of southern Lapeer and St. Clair counties. The river and its tributaries flow through dozens of rural, suburban, and urban communities with a total population of more than 1.4 million.
Our mission is to protect, enhance, and celebrate the Clinton River, its watershed, and Lake St. Clair.
