“That this church truly gave back to the community especially to the homeless community. Not only did they give necessities but worked alongside a service that collected leftover food from schools that would have otherwise been thrown away, and gives it to the homeless. I loved that they contributed to the serious problem of wastefulness that many of the schools struggle with to help with the even bigger issue of homelessness in Bakersfield.”

“I enjoyed working with the youth every week. I was able to get to know several different personalities and help them in different levels. It allowed me to see their own personal goals and see how to support them. Because this age group has so much energy, they were a lot of fun to be around. They knew when it was time to get serious and a time to have fun. ”
