I enjoyed the rest of the staff and the children I met. I appreciated being able to assist the children and show them their limitless capabilities.
What I wish was different
I wish there were better resources given in shelter homes. I did not appreciate the lack of resources for this wonderful program.
Advice
Black children deserve quality assistance in all aspects. The youth deserve a better future regardless of their unplanned economic circumstance. I suggest we continue to fight to keep our Black and Brown communities educated to the best of our abilities.

Advice
Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone! Becoming comfortable with these kids only makes them feel more accepted and comfortable with you.
