I liked having the opportunity to take classes on horticulture and botany. I also enjoyed the group days on thursdays where we had catered lunched and did a different workshop.
What I wish was different
I wish we had more flexible hours. there were a lot of early mornings.

What I liked
Staff members were all super nice and very approachable - I never felt hesitant to ask for clarification on a task. Likewise, two career panels were held during the internship and we had the chance to learn not only professional advice but life advice as well from people within the organization.
What I wish was different
Interns were split up into office interns and field interns and they worked in different locations - I would have liked for there to be more opportunities between the two groups to spend time together outside of career panels.
Advice
You are going to meet a lot of people from all different kinds of backgrounds, so take advantage of this opportunity to hear about their stories and how they got where they are today.
