I loved being outside and being able to work with my hands. We learned an incredible amount about permaculture, how to teach and work with children, and how to manage our time.
What I wish was different
I can honestly say that I don’t wish anything had been different. I enjoyed every second I spent on the farm and every task that we performed.
Advice
Probably don’t do this internship if you don’t enjoy getting dirty or performing manual labor. This job can be tedious and straining sometimes and takes a lot of hard work and self determination.

What I liked
I liked how much I learned about farming and it’s crucial role in our society. It showed me a new field that I had no idea about. I also made friends that I still work with. It’s somewhere I will always cherish.
What I wish was different
I wish I kept up with it. I think I quit too early.
Advice
If you chose to work at Fairview Gardens, be prepared to go beyond anything you’ve learned in a classroom. This expirence will open up your eyes to a whole new community of people in the community and all over the world.
