Great work for someone who likes kids. Definitely challenges you to become a better person, working with kids with autism isn’t easy, but it’s super rewarding.

Slightly less intensive training, if it was more spread out, I think it would help.

Advice

Go for it, even if you have no experience, it’s something that gives you lots of perspective.

Behavioral Health Technician

May 2016 • Bakersfield, CA

What I liked

I enjoy working with children and having an additional position to add hours as well as serve my job in another way other than a behavioral technician.

What I wish was different

I wish that the administration team would have been different in terms of approaching difficult situations. I wish that adjustments towards common complaints would have been implemented to better accommodate its staff. I wish the company was geared towards employee satisfaction as well as client satisfaction rather than profit centered.

Advice

I will share that this job is good for students who want to work part time. Although I am not completely satisfied with this job, it is part time and they will accommodate for your availability. The staff is not ideal, but your coworkers will make this job a good experience.
