What I liked
I enjoyed the ability to be involved in so many different projects and to get to visit project sites under construction!
What I wish was different
I wish that there were more formal arrangements for me as an intern to plug into the local architecture scene with my firm.
Advice
I would say to take on every project with an open mind and try and be as sponge-like as you can because you never know when some minute detail will help you make a more informed decision down the road.

Sustainability Intern

What I liked
Working in the field of Sustainability was my absolute favorite part. I also really enjoyed the freedom to dive as in depth as I needed into sustainability data and cutting edge sustainable technologies in the feild today. Being exposed to the world of architecture was also fascinating for me due to my lack of experience in this field. Lastly the workers at CannonDesign were all extremely genuine and more than willing to help me in anyway that they could!
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to spend more time learning the techniques and processes of energy modeling.
Advice
The skills learned from my extracurricular activity in ESW definitely helped make this internship possible and helped to make me successful at this internship. I would also like to highlight the interpersonal and communication skills. Without these I would not have had this opportunity in the first place!
