I love the environment that I work in when I am at Bdubs. The sports network is great.

It hard to work in a serious role when those around you don't put in their full effort.

Advice

Treat people how you would want to be treated. Don't treat people differently because of the color of their skin, the way they talk, or the clothes on their back. You might not always be tipped well, but there isn't just one demographic who doesn't tip, it can be anyone. Also, don't track your tips throughout the night. There is no need for a bad tipper to have to ruin your night before it has even started. It makes it extremely difficult to keep a positive and welcoming attitude towards other guests.

My coworkers make the experience so fun and exciting. The people are honestly the thing that keeps me going at this job.

What I wish was different

I wish the hourly pay was higher, especially when business is slow and you are not making good money in tips. This would make it so that when it is slow or tips are bad, you still are earning money.

Advice

It is a lot of hours and a lot of long nights that sometimes consists of a lot of things going wrong, so be prepared to multitask, lose track of time, and smile through any troubles!
