Associate Teacher

May 2018 • Fort Washington, PA

What I liked

I love the nurturing environment and warm welcome from all the students, staff, and families. The support and encouragement from my co-workers and administrators allowed me to do my best, while learning new techniques and skills for teaching, which is my passion!

What I wish was different

I wish I had more confidence when stepping into the new and unfamiliar classrooms. It took a while to get used to it, but in the end, I am grateful for the amazing experience to teach and further my skills as an early childhood educator.

Advice

Do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. Go for it! Take risks! Try new things! Enjoy the experience!

Daycare Teacher

September 2018 • Midvale, UT

What I liked

I enjoy working with the children to help them learn and grow in ways that are developmentally appropriate for their age. I also really enjoy watching them explore the world on their own.

What I wish was different

I wish that I could use my degree a little more. I'm a communicative disorders and deaf education major and there aren't many (if any) opportunities for me to use my skills.

Advice

Be yourself! Everyone has a unique perspective and way of doing things. You'll bring something to the children that no one else can.
