What I liked
Talking with patrons further developed my communication skills, making drinks was a fun cognitive exercise, and the food was delicious every single time. The managers were great at flexible scheduling, keeping up the morale of the team, and helping to resolve interpersonal issues when they arose.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had a bar-back to run for supplies throughout the night and a runner to bring the food from the kitchen to the bar section.
Advice
If the patron doesn't like the drink, don't take it as a personal attack. The recipe may be different than they are used to. Use the issue as an opportunity to develop your communication, problem solving, and comfortability with confrontation.
