I actually wish I had more time teaching the class I helped make. Due to time constraints we were only able to get one section of the class for the summer.
Advice
Doing a job that you enjoy always feels more fulfilling than purely working for money.

What I liked
I enjoyed working with students to help them learn the same things I am learning in class. I assisted in the computer science courses, so being a role model and relatable teacher was a great experience for me.
What I wish was different
I wish I got free food because I would be hungry but wouldn’t really have food to pack from my house.
Advice
You need to go in with a heart to really serve the kids in the program. You need to exhibit patience and understanding, and you also need to enjoy working with children of all ages.
