I absolutely adored the opportunity in total. It was SO fun to be able to study the systems of environments we went to, and we did so much amazing fieldwork.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been more! I wish we were able to continue the lab experience and continue project A.R.K.L.E throughout the year, and even map using GIS!
Advice
Always be prepared for hiccups! We got stuck on Horse Island in the Mississippi for a bit, because our equipment got stuck in the mud! We were able to use wenches and rope to remove it, but it was still fun. Make tough situations fun situations, or in J Arkle's words: "It's not frustration; its FUNstration!"
