What I liked
The volunteering in a hospital experience in a foreign country. I learned about the different kinds of health-care systems around the world and really benefitted from the patient interactions with the physicians I was shadowing.
What I wish was different
I wish I knew more of the local language Portuguese.
Advice
Definitely take part in this experience if you want to interact with more pre-med/med students who are also clinical shadowing. This experience is a great way to learn how hospitals work and look closely into remarkable surgeries.
