It was a great hands on experience because I was able to directly work with patients while physical therapists were present to help when I had questions. I worked with a variety of patients with ages ranging from 13-90. These patients had several different injuries which allowed me to learn about so many different parts of the body. I learned so many exercises that I taught to patients which allowed me to learn more about how the body works and how patients can recover from injuries through physical therapy.
What I wish was different
I wish that I did not have to be on the phone answering questions as much so that I could spend more time working with patients.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share about this experience would be to apply to this job early, at least a couple of months in advance, to make sure that the organization has enough room for another rehab aide!
