I loved the people that I got to work with. They took me under their wing as a person with little experience and helped me to learn and grow with each assignment, as well as trusted me to take lead on some more major projects.
What I wish was different
It would have been nice to have more shadowing experience; listening in on marketing meetings with the school and have more hands-on experience with the computer programs to be able to learn more about the field.
Advice
When I saw the opening, I honestly was not going to bother applying because I lacked many of the skills they were asking for in the description. However, a friend encouraged me to apply anyway, because "You definitely won't get the job if you never apply." So I did, and landed the interview, was completely transparent with there my expertise and skills lie, and they still hired me because they wanted me for my English major and thought that I would be great for many of the written tasks and projects. So my advice would be to go for it, because you never know. And that internship was one of the best things that ever happened to me!
