Everyone was very willing to help and most co-ops got valuable experience. Worthwhile to be able to see a chemical plant as a student and learn real-world skills.
What I wish was different
There was a lot of down-time as a co-op due to steady performance of the unit and new ventures being quite expensive at that moment.
Advice
Find many contacts and reach out to as many people as possible for work.
