The independence needed and given to employees to complete tasks at hand. The guidance during the first few weeks was exactly what I needed in order to gain independence as the internship progressed.
What I wish was different
Sometimes I wish there was a specific project associated with the internship, not just a sole position with the company.
Advice
Approach internships and entry-level jobs as learning opportunities and not places where you are to earn a living and go home. This job taught me more than just hard, technical skills, but also drastically helped me improve my soft and people skills.
