Loved the people I worked with and the projects I was involved in. My hours were also totally flexible.
What I wish was different
Due to the nature of the nonprofit, it was unpaid which was difficult, and the office facilities were quite dull.
Advice
Get involved on the local level! Working for small organizations really allows you to understand how things work and participate more than you might at a larger cooperation.
