What I liked
Great company culture, fun events such as weekly lunches and a chance to really get to know your co-workers. Everyone is very open and able to answer any questions you may have. Overall a very supportive and encouraging work community.
What I wish was different
A lot of the trainings were done through Zoom which made the beginning a little difficult. Starting in January meant you almost immediately launched right into busy season which meant working a lot of hours.
Advice
My best piece of advice would be to ask questions and realize that you have so many people who are willing to help you out.

What I liked
Great company culture, everyone is willing to help with any problem that you have. There a lots of opportunity's to give back to the community. The work schedule is flexible, you can work when it works best for you!
What I wish was different
I wish I had more in person interactions with my peers/superiors. Everyone is available to help or talk me through something but a lot of the time it is virtual.
Advice
Whatever effort you put into this experience you will get out. There are a lot of firm events and programs that can be very beneficial but you are not forced to attend or participate. The more you attend or participate the more you will benefit!

What I liked
I enjoyed how the recruiters and staff set up the virtual environment so well for us, interns. There were a lot of fun activities like “Fun Friday’s.” I also was able to learn a lot about Partnership returns for federal and state.
What I wish was different
I wish it was a in person experience. I feel it would’ve been a lot more exciting. Alas, Covid-19 took that way from us.
Advice
Internship’s are only for a select couple of months. Make sure you are always working hard and never letting your foot off the gas pedal. Think of the internship like a job interview that you have to ace. Try to always be prepared so you get the full-time offer at the end.

What I liked
I loved how empowered I felt! Armanino really went out of the way to give me a well rounded experience. I fell in love with the firm and culture! It felt like coming home!
What I wish was different
I wish it never had ended! But luckily I received a full time offer, so I now where I will be after graduation!
Advice
Look for opportunities during your sophomore and junior years, always look for experiences that add value to yourself, never shy away from building your network and connecting. You are capable of achieving anything you visualize for yourself, you just have to visualize the path too.

What I liked
The company was focused on growth and made each day a learning experience. They also had fun Fridays each week that gave us time to understand the firm and connect with their employees.
What I wish was different
I wish the company had my department (tax) closer to where I live.
Advice
If you are interested in working for an accounting firm that doesn't see you as a number and actually cares about your well-being, Armanino is definitely the firm to work for.

What I liked
Incredibly helpful and understanding employees and clients. Staff, Seniors, Managers and Partners alike were all available for conversation and easy to talk to. Excellent work environment and a very progressive tone from the top.
What I wish was different
A lot of soft-skills training as opposed to technical training. I wish I had been exposed to more workshops with the software used across the firm.
Advice
Come with an open mind and engage with everyone you can. Every person I interacted with over my eight weeks shared great advice and insights regarding how to approach the work/life balance and study for the CPA exams.

Advice
I wish a lot of most students believe in themselves. Recruiters love college students and if you show interest you will most likely get a job / internship. I think it’s much harder to get a job once you graduate. so start soon
