I enjoyed raking leaves in the Russellville community and being able to spread my love for this community. This volunteer opportunity was a great way to show my appreciation for the Russellville community.
What I wish was different
I wish that this volunteer opportunity was offered more often throughout the year. I think this was a great way of giving back to our community and this community service event should be hosted twice a year instead of once!
Advice
One piece of advice I would give to other students is to dress accordingly when preparing for volunteer opportunities and volunteer with friends. It was pretty chilly when we volunteered and luckily we were prepared with winter coats and gloves. I chose to volunteer with my volleyball team and this made the event so much fun!
