IT Intern

What I liked
There was a lot of freedom as an intern. If you like a hands on work environment where you are trusted to carry out daily tasks I'd recommend this internship. Also the atmosphere was very welcoming, the staff and fellow interns where very nice people. The internship also provided a lot of variety, we often would do a different job at a different location everyday of the week.
What I wish was different
I wish I gained more knowledge of IT. Often times work consisted of installing units or power washing units. I didn't gain as much practical experience as I hoped to.
Advice
I'd recommend the summer internship for anyone who just graduated high school or maybe a first year college student. It would be a good first internship in order to get experience in the field, but I would not recommend the summer internship program to anyone going into IT that is more advanced in college. You don't learn a ton of practical IT knowledge.
