What I liked
I like the hands-on exposure you get while working at an internship. A lot of stuff is probably seen during your academic careers such as concepts, homework, or projects, but to actually work with the stuff taught is something that hands-on learners like myself can grasp better. I also like the wealth of information while working under management and the team that everyone collaborates with, but beyond that, there's also room for cross-functional training with other departments. In addition, I like that while being an internship, the employer works with your school schedule knowing that availability is different than post-grad. Finally, I like that with an internship experience such as the one I've had working in I.T. at Android Industries, it gives you an advantage to gain experience before graduating, which means gaining skills for your own self while also giving you a chance to prove to the company that you'd make a great fit in the team long-term if you wish to pursue that after graduation.
